"I hate the comfort zone."
That's what Broadway producer Julie Taymor said on 60 Minutes.
"I don't think anything that's really creative can be done without DANGER and RISK," she stated.
Producer Julie Taymor was speaking about her latest Broadway production, "Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark."

Spider-Man is the most spectacular -
and the most expensive -
Broadway show ever produced.
$60 million.
That's what it cost.
And it's a year late!
Production was halted in 2009 when the show ran out of money.
But they finally found additional backers.
Now it's bringing in $1 million per week.
And it's only in preview stage!
Though I don't know Julie Taymor personally,
and though I didn't have anything to do with Spider-Man,
(officially launching this coming February)
her story and her words about "the comfort zone" and about "danger and risk" sum up the last two years of my life . . .
and the reason I disappeared for 15 months.
